Alumni Site to help solicit World Wide Support for River Project

The Charleroi High School alumni web site will take on a new role. Charleroi Main Street and the Greater Charleroi Community Development Corporation will ask the site to have alumni from around the world contact legislators for support of the River Walk and River History Museum. The site has already achieved enormous success and Donn Henderson took web site developer, Jeane Palfrey, up on her offer to help the community.

The Charleroi Main Street site and the alumni site recently started mutual links on each others sites and now people can read the overview of the project and view sketches and floor plans at both sites. The Main Street Site, www.CharleroiPa.org, will accept emails fo support from the alumni site, www.CharleroiPaHsAlumni.org, as well as request letters be sent to area legislators or U.S. legislators where alumni currently reside.

"To my knowledge it's the first effort of its type" said Henderson. Tens of thousands from around the country have visited the alumni site and the Charleroi revitalization efforts are hoping that this will bring much needed financial support to the ten plus million dollar river project.
